After 37 years, the original Rum House just off of the Hotel Edison's lobby, closed in the summer of 2010. In the early weeks of 2011, though, it was reopened under new management—the folks behind Tribeca's Ward III—with a ramped-up bar menu and the self-same piano and nautical trappings of the original.
